about Habitat Form

Habitat Form is a Seattle-based ecological design studio creating gardens that restore balance, beauty, and biodiversity. We design spaces that invite life back into the landscape, where pollinators thrive, water is honored, and every planting contributes to a living system that sustains itself over time. Founded by ecological designer Kerry Lee, our work blends science and aesthetics, bringing together native plants, texture, and movement to craft gardens that evolve gracefully with the seasons. Rooted in the unique ecology of the Pacific Northwest and informed by a global understanding of ecological design, we believe every garden can become a habitat: a place that gives back more than it takes.

Kerry Lee is an ecological designer dedicated to creating gardens that restore and regenerate. Originally from New Zealand and now rooted in the Pacific Northwest, she brings a lifelong love of plants, landscapes, and the quiet intelligence of nature to every project she takes on. With a background in permaculture and a passion for native and drought-tolerant planting, her work blends sustainability with timeless beauty, crafting spaces that support pollinators, conserve resources, and age gracefully through the seasons.

Kerry believes gardens are living systems, not static designs. Her approach is grounded in observation, ecological function, and a deep respect for place. Clients value her ability to translate complex ecological principles into practical, elegant solutions that fit everyday life. Whether she’s designing a full garden plan, refining an existing landscape, or teaching through The Native Edit, Kerry’s mission is simple: to help people create gardens that truly give back.
